Micah's Hatred For Mika

I saw a commercial for this new musician, Mika, today. I love discovering new artists that I love. I remember finding J. Tillman's myspace almost a year ago and falling in love with his music or seeing Lovedrug open for Relient K a while ago and enjoying them enough to buy the cd and the rest is history. Well, even before I heard his music I just suspected that I would hate him.

You see, his name is pronounced 'Meek-Uh'. I freaking hate it when people pronounce my name like that. Whether it's accidental or on purpose, it gets me every damn time. (my name is pronounced 'Mike-Uh' by the way) This little guy is gonna make more people mispronounce my name and just drive me every bit closer to insanity little by little.

I went to his MySpace page to listen to his music and see if he was decently good. I didn't really enjoy it. He's got this high, ear piercing falsetto voice that drove me mad. I can enjoy a falsetto voice a lot (Freddie Mercury, Aaron Marsh, Stephen Christian) if it is contained. Those three guys only go really high at certain points in songs, not every freaking verse or chorus like he does.
