Gilbert Arenas recently made a bet with his teammate, DeShawn Stevenson, in practice one day that he could make more one handed three point shots from the college line than Stevenson could with both hands from the NBA line. This was also no small initiation bet, but a 20,000 dollar bet. Although that doesn't effect them nearly as much as it would a typical person, but that's still a lot of money.
Here's the video and a great recap of the events.
Gilbert ended up winning the competition and the 20,000 dollars, although he had to use every distracting tactic he could possibly think of.
My favorite thought about this comes courtesy of The Fanhouse where they poing out that due to the difference in salarys, Stevenson losing 20,000 dollars is the equivalent of Arenas losing 237,397 dollars. This is insanity at its best form and that is why I love Gilbert Arenas.
