Well, my thought going into the premeire was how can they top last season's premeire and going into Monday's episode I was wondering if it was even possible to top last week's episode? Honestly, how on earth can you possibly top a nuclear bomb going off in Los Angeles? I'm not really sure you can unless you set off bombs in New York and Chicago in the next episode, but then you'd have nowhere to go really so in reality the big question was, how can you recover from that?
I'm really at a loss at the direction that this season is going to take right now. Last year it was obvious that they needed to get the nerve gas (well we do know there are 4 other bombs they need to get) and taking care of the hostages after the aiport saga was finished was no big deal, but taking care of tens of thousands of people after a bombing is a much more painstaking task and they can't just ignore that for the rest of the season, but they can't make it too unrealistic either. There is no way that you could recover from an attack like that in one day so it'd be hard to expect any real resolution in that regard.
I've been excited for the return of Graham ever since I saw him in the previews for this season, but wow! That is one thing I did not see coming. The fact that they were brothers just blew my mind. That was almost (but not quite) as shocking as the bomb going off last week. And ending it with a plastic bag over his head.... Holy freaking crap. I can't wait to see how this develops. Will he be exposed for all he was behind in season five and how much is he behind now with the bombs?
I still hate Tom Lennox.
