The 24 Chronicles: The Seventh Hour

Is it just me or does this show have the most 'Get the heck out of here!' moments than any other show on TV at the momement. This episode had at least three that come to mind immediately...

  • Jack and his dad escaping from Graem's henchmen (although I'm not sure this really qualifies because we all knew Jack was getting out of that alive somehow)
  • Morris being the guy McCarthy found to reprogram the nuclear bombs
  • Phillip Bauer being in on the whole thing and then killing (or at least attempting to kill) Graem.

Yeah, this show's pretty dang crazy. A few more random thoughts...

  • Since we figured out the spelling of Graem's name does this mean that his nickname would be spelled Grae or would it still be the more traditional Grey or Gray?
  • Speaking of Graem, I really hope that he isn't dead. He's a great villian who believes in what he's doing and the whole Jack's brother thing is just amazing.
  • Also, how deep did his involvement with the whole events of Day 5 go? We already knew his involvement with President Palmer and President Logan, but how did he really orchestrate all that and for what reason? There had to be more to it than just keeping the company afloat.
  • I am forseeing something fishy going on with that Vice President and Lennox. I still hate him.

The Jack Bauer Kill Count rose up to three this week!

24: The Sixth Hour

Some brief thoughts about last night's episode of 24...

  • Sometimes they take the whole real time thing too far. Of course there's always the when does he eat, use the restroom, sleep questions, but mine is how on earth did Graem manage to hold his breath in that bag for over 3 minutes? That seemed to push a limit for me at least.
  • I was glad that Graem didn't turn out to be some little pansy like he looked like he was during the beginning of the episode. He took control which was what I had expected that whole time. In the terms of a villian, I really like him. He's got guts it seems, and he doesn't just crumble like Logan did last year (whatever happened to him anyways?) It will be interesting to see how they develop Graem's character throughout the season.
  • I knew the experiment with Walid was going to end badly, I expected worse honestly. There was no way im my mind that I saw that working out well.
  • I'm going to miss Karen Hayes, but I figure that she'll fit in again before the season is over.
  • You know it's saying something when this was the worst of the 6 hours so far this season and it still ends with the introduction of his father and the two of them being kidnapped by his brother's henchmen.

I still hate Tom Lennox.

The 24 Chronicles: The Fifth Hour

Well, my thought going into the premeire was how can they top last season's premeire and going into Monday's episode I was wondering if it was even possible to top last week's episode? Honestly, how on earth can you possibly top a nuclear bomb going off in Los Angeles? I'm not really sure you can unless you set off bombs in New York and Chicago in the next episode, but then you'd have nowhere to go really so in reality the big question was, how can you recover from that?

I'm really at a loss at the direction that this season is going to take right now. Last year it was obvious that they needed to get the nerve gas (well we do know there are 4 other bombs they need to get) and taking care of the hostages after the aiport saga was finished was no big deal, but taking care of tens of thousands of people after a bombing is a much more painstaking task and they can't just ignore that for the rest of the season, but they can't make it too unrealistic either. There is no way that you could recover from an attack like that in one day so it'd be hard to expect any real resolution in that regard.

I've been excited for the return of Graham ever since I saw him in the previews for this season, but wow! That is one thing I did not see coming. The fact that they were brothers just blew my mind. That was almost (but not quite) as shocking as the bomb going off last week. And ending it with a plastic bag over his head.... Holy freaking crap. I can't wait to see how this develops. Will he be exposed for all he was behind in season five and how much is he behind now with the bombs?

I still hate Tom Lennox.

I Am Excited...

Tonight is a good night of TV
This is Carmelo's first game to play with Allen Iverson as a teammate.

Tonight is the fifth hour of this season of 24

Heroes returns

Right now, the Denver Nuggets are in 7th place in the west and it they have been 7-8 during Anthony's 15 game suspension so Iverson hasn't been a huge help to them thus far, but now we get to see Iverson and Anthony together, but the big question is whether or not two 30 point per game guys can co-exist together. What makes it even better is that there is a free preview of NBA League Pass this week so I can watch it tonight.

Last week on 24, there was an atomic bomb that went off in Los Angeles. It was one of the most shocking moments that I've ever experienced while watching television. Now my question is where do they go from there? Surely they can't top that or can they? Unless Jack Bauer is killed off by the end of the night, I don't see that getting topped. And even if they're not trying to top it, how do you continue that plot line? I'll just have to wait and see I guess...

The 24 Chronicles: The First Four Hours

With this begins what will be a weekly review of that week's episode of 24.

Wow. Going into the sixth season premiere of 24 this Sunday night, the main question on my mind was "how can they top last year?" Well, let's see here. Setting off a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles is a heck of a start. After I watched Monday's conclusion, I sat on my couch just staring at the TV for another minute or two just in awe of what I'd seen. I, along with what I assume was the majority of the people watching, expected the father to jump and stop Numair from setting off the bomb or there be some miraculous circumstance where the bomb wouldn't go off. When it did, I was left in pure and utter shock. Other highlights or thoughts...

  • I don't think that the Wallace family will really be used again and it really doesn't make a difference to me. I think they were used the same way the Huxley family was used last season, to create a subplot for the first few episodes then never to return.
  • I will miss Jack's beard....

  • The death of Curtis shocked me. I knew someone's gun was going off, but I still didn't expect it to end like that.

  • Will the radiation reach Jack and if it does, would it be possible for him to be killed off? The producers and other actors keep saying him being killed off is a possibility, but I certainly don't see it happening.

  • Is anyone else entirely excited for the return of Graham? Hardly anything is known about him except he was behind basically everything that happened in Day 5, but that's enough for me. Seeing him in the preview for next week made me even more pumped.
