I decided to write while i'm on my lunch break because i found some interesting stuff out. I was listening to the XXX church podcast and they had Michael sweet, lead singer from Stryper on there. But what i found more interesting is they had a few new segments and one of them was called geektec or something like that. anyway, there's a new social networking site out called Virb. It's made by the guys who made purevolume.com. What they were talking about is how this site is doing something totally different where you won't see those sensual advertisements on there, actually you won't see any advertisements at all. Plus, it suppose to filter out all the spam, phishing, semi-porn, etc. from there site unlike myspace which floods in there every single day. another thing is that you can customize the page anyway you want. The only way people customize myspace is to find designer codes to load on to their page or know a lot about html code. Virb is supposedly make it user-friendly to do your own customizing.
This is not a "christian" alternative to social networking. VIRB has no political, religious affiliations. I think i'm going to set up an account to see how it works

Sounds interesting. Hopefullt it won't be too much like a MyPraize type thing, that was like a really bad parody.
looking at a few of the pages it's a cross between facebook and myspace. It facebook spct of it is that if you put your favortie musical band on their it post it in the music area like myspace. however, you can click on he band name and it will show you all the users who like that same band. that's just a first glance at it. i hven't set up an account
