Well readers, Micah announced the making of music history in his most recent post, and I figured I could update you on progress. Micah and I just walked out of Vicious G's home studio, and I am pleased with the progress we have made thus far. We layed down the lead guitar tracks and it went very well. We did it on an average of 3 takes per track, as opposed to the 13 takes we attempted last time. After that, we talked about how Micah would be laying down the law with the rhythm tracks, which he and Vicious will be working on soon enough. The song is turning out very well. I can't and won't tell you all the details in terms of sound and lyrical content, just know that this song will give you a nice refreshing kick to your naughty bits. There is also a little 'Making Of' documentary in the works, which should prove to be very interesting. Until those come out for your viewing and listening pleasure, let the tension mount. I have also gotten pics of us performing the song in the studio, to give you a brief taste of this amazing experience. Here they are:
Vicious G exploring his options in the area of vocals for this song. He was wounded in the process by the hack-saw that is Micah on rhythm guitar, hence all the blood. The man in the background is his father noodling around on Jay's axe before going out to tend the garden.
This is Micah working on the rhythm tracks. He put on his good-luck corpse paint and his leather pants to enhance his ability of laying foundations of insane riffery under the blazin' lead tracks.
Jay laying down the leads for Cannibalism. Though he didn't feel at home at first with his black-metal brethren, he fit right in after he showed them what riffs he had to bring to the table.
There you have it. Obviously, we are enjoying this immensely. We think you will too.
